Make it nine blowout wins for the El Dorado Cougars this season. They breezed by Galt at home to the tune of 61-33. 61 seems to be a good number for El Dorado as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jeremy Kimber was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 18 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Logan Baker, who scored 20 points.
Galt lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zavion Mitchell, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Cagle, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
The win got El Dorado back to even at 10-10. As for Galt, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Dorado will take on Union Mine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Union Mine's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Galt, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Liberty Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
