Custer is 0-2 against Madison since August of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Custer Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Madison Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Custer had to suffer through a rough 55-23 loss at the hands of Canton. Custer was down 55-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, Custer saw an underclassman step up: Brady Virtue picked up 87 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Madison fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 14-2 win over Vermillion on Friday. 14 seems to be a good number for Madison as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Madison's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 7.5 times. Leading the way was Tyan Braskamp and his 3.5 sacks.
With Custer's defeat and Madison's victory, both teams now sport identical 2-6 records.
