The Mays Raiders's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Creekside as Mays made off with a 81-57 win. With Mays ahead 46-25 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Mays got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Germani Wilson out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Derron Lindsey ii, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists.
Despite the loss, Creekside still got an impressive performance from Amadou Onyia, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Onyia has scored all season. Demetri Edwards was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Mays is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Creekside, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mays will take on Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Banneker will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Creekside, they will head out on the road to square off against Tri-Cities at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
