The Channelview Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Channelview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Pasadena Memorial likes a good challenge.
Channelview can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-10 win over Pasadena on the road.
Traveon Jackson and Tyrone Scyrus were among the main playmakers for Channelview as the former rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Scyrus was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Josh Wiggins also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They blew past Pasadena 56-7 at home. Given Pasadena Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Pasadena is ranked 934th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Channelview's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Pasadena Memorial, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Channelview against Pasadena Memorial in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 71-38 victory. Does Channelview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pasadena Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
