Caney Valley took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Independence, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bullpups had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 4-3. The four-run effort marked the Bullpups' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
