In what's become a running theme this season, Bishop Kenny gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Buchholz 74-31 at home. With that win, Bishop Kenny brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Bishop Kenny got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Talbert out in front who scored 14 points. Reese Mayer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, San Jose Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 59-16 victory over Sandalwood. Given San Jose Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Sandalwood is ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Kenny's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for San Jose Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
