Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Assumption). They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Davenport Central Blue Devils on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Assumption has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Davenport Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
