Tennyson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the San Lorenzo Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Wednesday, Tennyson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to Encinal.
Larrie Noble put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Matthew Lorje was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, San Lorenzo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Encinal.
Tennyson's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-7. As for San Lorenzo, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Tennyson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against San Lorenzo when the teams last played on January 5th, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tennyson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
