In what's become a running theme this season, the Sebastian River Sharks gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 55-20 victory over Merritt Island on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-12.
Sebastian River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destiny Pickard led the charge by scoring 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pickard has scored all season. E?mani Pryor was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Sebastian River pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Merritt Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Sebastian River will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Port St. Lucie at 7:00 p.m. Port St. Lucie comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Merritt Island, they will head out on the road to square off against Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
