The Estrella Sidewinders are on the road again on Tuesday and plays Phoenix School of Academic Excellence at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-17, which was the final score in Estrella's tilt against the Lion on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Estrella can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Lion are ranked 97th).
Meanwhile, Phoenix School of Academic Excellence's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 59-40 bruising from New Way Learning Academy.
Estrella's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Phoenix School of Academic Excellence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Estrella came up short against the in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 44-38. Can Estrella avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
