The North Callaway Thunderbirds had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Silex by a score of 51-42 on Thursday. The victory was just what North Callaway needed coming off of a 75-50 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Isiah Craighead, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Pezold, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
North Callaway's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Silex, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
North Callaway will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Elsberry at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Silex, they will square off against Mark Twain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
