The Bridgeport Bulldogs struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Caldwell Redskins had 18 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bridgeport was dealt a 74-27 loss at the hands of Caldwell. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bridgeport has scored all season.
Bridgeport lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Coen Brinker, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Avery Jackson, who scored four points.
Carter Wheeldin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Caldwell, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Wheeldin hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Schott, who scored 11 points.
Bridgeport's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Caldwell, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
Bridgeport will head out on the road to square off against Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport is facing Bellaire at the right time seeing as Bellaire is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Caldwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
