Millbury has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Hopedale Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Millbury is ranked 47th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 68th).
On Monday, Millbury was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-27 to the Sammies.
Meanwhile, Hopedale entered their tilt with the Chargers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Hopedale simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Chargers 59-21 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.
Millbury's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Hopedale, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Millbury strolled past the Blue Raiders in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 52-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
