The State College Little Lions won the last time they faced the Altoona Mountain Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. State College put the hurt on Altoona with a sharp 62-42 victory.
State College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reed Melvin out in front who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Melvin has scored all season. Charlie Yartz was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
State College now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Altoona, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Central Dauphin the next time they take the court. State College will head out to face Central Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Altoona will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
