Mathews barely beat Essex the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans on Monday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Mathews' victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Essex, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coming up, Mathews will head out on the road to challenge Charles City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Essex, they will host Colonial Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
