First Baptist extended the longest winning streak in Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) this week by beating Faith Baptist Christian Academy, 64-16. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
First Baptist took down the Crusaders 64-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trent Keisler threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns and ran for five yards in the win.
Will McCombs' team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Alex Frazier chipped in 94 yards. Trevor McNeil helped First Baptist's passing attack out by catching one ball for 32 yards.
Bradford Allen was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hurricanes bested Faith Baptist Christian Academy. Allen tallied four receptions for 84 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Gunnar Gibson of Coastal HomeSchool is the league leader in passing yards this season with 930. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, First Baptist's Frazier has rushed for 1393 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Allen. The First Baptist star has 19 catches for 487 yards.
The marquee game in Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) this week will be the clash between the Hurricanes and Abundant Life Academy. Coastal HomeSchool enters the contest ranked fifth in the state, while Abundant Life Academy ranks 21st.
Fountain Inn Christian and Lighthouse Christian played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Fountain Inn Christian eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory.
