Rossville was handed a 30-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They skirted past the Northwestern Tigers 57-55. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 66-47 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Rossville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Thiele-Hahn, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Skiles, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and five boards.

Rossville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Northwestern's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Shank, who went 9-for-20 on his way to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Shank has posted since back in December of 2024. Cam Markley also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Rossville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rossville will face off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rossville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season. As for Northwestern, they will take on Blackford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blackford has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matches.
