On Friday, The Altamont Longhorns faced the St. Joseph Jayhawks in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Altamont blew past St. Joseph 92-33 on the road. The result was nothing new for Altamont, who have now won five matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Altamont was led to victory by Dillon Ivie and Brayden Webb. Ivie gained 282 total yards and three touchdowns, while Webb rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Thatcher Rust was another key contributor, gaining 234 total yards.
The win (which was Altamont's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.33 points. As for St. Joseph, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Altamont will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Monticello at 1:00 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Monticello is ranked first, while Altamont is ranked third). St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
