The matchup between The Wesson Cobras and the Enterprise Bulldogs on Friday hardly resembled the 6-0 effort from their previous meeting. Wesson took a 38-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Enterprise. It was the first time this season that Wesson let down their fans at home.
Wesson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being O'mari Johnson, who picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Smith, who picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wesson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Enterprise, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Wesson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Enterprise will face off against Jefferson Davis County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson Davis County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
