Waimea have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Saturday they take on Kapa'a at Vidinha Stadium at 2:30 PM. Waimea come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Waimea were out to avenge their 0-32 defeat to Kauai from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Two weeks ago, Waimea came up short against Kauai, falling 6-13.
Meanwhile, after losing to Kauai the last time they met, Kapa'a decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Kapa'a had enough points to win and then some against Kauai last Friday, taking their game 20-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Kapa'a.
Waimea took a serious blow against Kapa'a three weeks ago, falling 0-38. Can Waimea avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
