The Pilot Point Bearcats will head out to take on the Palmer Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
On Friday, Pilot Point was fully in charge, breezing past Madison 55-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Pilot Point got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Garrett Evans out in front who threw for 113 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in two scores on the ground. The Bearcats also got a significant boost from Josh Chumley, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 114 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pilot Point was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 309 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Pilot Point didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hunter Newman and Drevion James.
Meanwhile, Palmer won against Edgewood last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Bulldogs breezed past A Plus Academy to the tune of 56-16. With the Bulldogs ahead 42-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Pilot Point better keep an eye on Eric Cisneros. He was instrumental in Palmer's win, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 168 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. What's more, Cisneros racked up 157.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sutton Maddox, who gained 114 total yards and two touchdowns.
Pilot Point's record is now 4-1. As for Palmer, their record now sits at 5-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Pilot Point has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 316.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Palmer struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 316 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Pilot Point took a serious blow against Palmer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 43-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cisneros, who rushed for 159 yards and five scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 228 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. Now that the Bearcats know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
