Russellville is 2-8 against the Wildcats since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Russellville Indians will head out on the road to take on the Linn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Russellville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Thursday, everything went Russellville's way against the Wildcats as the Indians made off with a 71-51 victory. Russellville pushed the score to 60-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Linn came up short against the Panthers on Wednesday and fell 62-53. Linn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Linn's defeat came about despite a quality game from Noah Hall, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Seth Wolfe, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Russellville's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Linn, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-12.
Things could have been worse for Russellville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-48 loss to the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Russellville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
