Collinsville suffered their biggest defeat since April 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 15-8 to the Breese Central Cougars. Even though they lost, the Kahoks' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Carter Harrington was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Luke Robinson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Breese Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Collinsville will look to defend their home field on Friday against South Gibson at 1:00 p.m. As for Breese Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Staunton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
