The Easton Area Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-45 to Parkland. While losing is never fun, Easton Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Parkland is ranked 15th).
Defeat or not, Easton Area got some senior leadership from Adonis Pompilus and Jack Grimmer. Pompilus scored nine points, while Grimmer. scored six points.
Easton Area has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Parkland, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Easton Area will take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkland, Parkland and Northampton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
