Basketball Game Preview: Twin Lakes Indians vs. Frontier Falcons

Twin Lakes is 10-0 against Frontier since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Twin Lakes Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Frontier Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Twin Lakes will be strutting in after a victory while Frontier will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Twin Lakes turned things around against Faith Christian last Saturday. They walked away with a 45-37 win over the Eagles.

Twin Lakes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addyson Hines led the charge by putting up 19 points along with eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hines a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Oliver, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 38-29 to Caston.

Twin Lakes will have to contain Ashlyn Minniear as she made an impact in Frontier's last game. She dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Twin Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Twin Lakes has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Frontier struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Everything came up roses for Twin Lakes against Frontier in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 71-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Twin Lakes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
