The Arcadia Redskins will head out on the road to  square off against  the Vanlue Wildcats at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Arcadia is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Last Thursday, Arcadia came up short against Fostoria  and fell  9-4.
  Jacob Preble was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Vanlue came into Thursday's   matchup having lost 28 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Temple Christian  13-12. The high-scoring effort was just what Vanlue needed considering they were shutout in their previous   match.
  Landon Saltzman was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Landon Fraley, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.
 Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Vanlue, their win  ended  a  12-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 1-8.
 Everything went Arcadia's way against Vanlue when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 as Arcadia made off with  an  11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arcadia since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
