Julia MacPhee made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Emma Covino was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ana Yuter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Pocono Mountain West's win bumped their record up to 3-1.
