The Kalama Chinooks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 win over Onalaska. For Kalama, this counts as revenge for the 67-55 defeat the Loggers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Kalama's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Sigfridson, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Gavin McBride was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Kalama's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Onalaska, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Kalama will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Winlock is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Onalaska, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Seagulls at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
