Crownpoint was out to avenge their 6-13 loss to Ignacio from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Crownpoint took a 8-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ignacio. The loss was a vexing one since Crownpoint was expected to win based on their state ranking. The game brought Ignacio to 2-0 and dropped Crownpoint to a mirror-image 0-2.
Next week, Crownpoint take on Hot Springs at 7:00 PM. As for Ignacio, they will face off against Newcomb. Ignacio continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest.
