The North Salem Vikings will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the South Medford Panthers. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Salem had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Grant on the road to the tune of 27-0. The win was just what North Salem needed coming off of a 54-0 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, South Medford got themselves on the board against Jefferson on Friday, but Jefferson never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 34-0 win over the Democrats at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for South Medford's zero-point performance the match before.
Ryder Scheid was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. Scheid's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Their wins bumped North Salem to 6-4 and South Medford to 7-3.
