The Geneva Vikings will square off against the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morgan Vaghy and Ashley Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Vaghy went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Moore went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Gambro, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Aurora Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Metea Valley struck out 11 times.
Aurora Central Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Geneva, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Geneva hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Aurora Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
