Baseball Recap: Hamilton Drops Season-High Score on Walnut

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). They never let the Walnut Wildcats get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won seven games in a row.

J.D. Whitaker was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Welch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Hamilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Hamilton's record is now 21-3. As for Walnut, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will be playing at home against Strayhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walnut, they will venture away from home to challenge Pine Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
