Softball Recap: East Hampton Has No Trouble Against Westbrook

East Hampton won the last time they faced Westbrook and things went their way on Monday too. The Bellringers put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 21-10 win. Considering the Bellringers have won three matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Allison Jacobsen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and five unearned) runs off ten hits. Jacobsen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Emily Jovel was incredible, going 5-for-6 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Kylie Bigelow also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

East Hampton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

East Hampton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Westbrook, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

East Hampton has already played their next game, a 17-8 loss against Hale Ray on the 29th. Westbrook has also already played their next contest (against Morgan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
