The Thomas A. Edison Owls lost against the Executive Education Academy Charter School Raptors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Thomas A. Edison was beaten by Executive Education Academy Charter School 74-39. It was the first time this season that Thomas A. Edison let down their fans at home.
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Vasquez-Hernandez, who scored ten points. Vasquez-Hernandez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ernan Rivera, who scored 13 points.
Thomas A. Edison's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4. As for Executive Education Academy Charter School, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Thomas A. Edison will be playing in front of their home fans against Freire Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Freire Charter is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.9 points per game. Executive Education Academy Charter School is on the road again on Monday and play against La Academia Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. La Academia Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Executive Education Academy Charter School is ranked 34th).
