The Lemoore Tigers will challenge the Foothill Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lemoore's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Foothill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lemoore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Santa Ynez get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly four runs.

Not much got past Nick Johnson, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Santa Ynez off the board. Johnson is becoming a predictor of Lemoore's success: when he posts at least ten strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 10-12 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Lemoore saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ian Snell was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Foothill had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 5-3.
Ramon Diaz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Diaz was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Foothill let Carlos Ruano and Marcos Carbajal run wild. Ruano went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Carbajal went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.
Foothill pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lemoore, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
