There's no place like home for Locust Fork, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 61-32 stomp they got against the Appalachian Eagles. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 28 points or more this season.
Locust Fork found their leader in sophomore Haley Dutton, who went 9 for 21 on her way to 25 points and four steals. Harlie Horn was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.
Locust Fork is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Appalachian, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.
