The Battle Ground Tigers fell victim to the Camas Papermakers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 28-0 loss at the hands of the Papermakers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Battle Ground in their matchups with Camas: they've now lost nine in a row.
Ethan Adams threw for 57 yards on six of 23 attempts. Angel Lopez was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Artem Bahnyuk rushed for 40 yards.
Battle Ground's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Camas, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Battle Ground will head out on the road to face off against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last six games. As for Camas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Federal Way will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Camas is ranked seventh).
