Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Dallas, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Parker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Kennedy saw an underclassman step up: Anthony Zink scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Marcel Cosarca was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Denver West's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Kennedy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Denver West will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Denver North is ranked 123rd, while the Cowboys are ranked 113th). As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Lincoln and three for the Commanders.
