St. Laurence lost against Joliet West back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Aubrey Martinez paced St. Laurence's offense, picking up 12 kills. Martinez got some help from Keely Bowen and her 24 assists. Abby Ambrose controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Joliet West was led to victory by Lexie Grevengoed and Mady Gant. Grevengoed had ten kills, ten digs, two aces, and one block, while Gant had seven kills and one block. That's the most kills Gant has posted since back in September of 2024.

St. Laurence's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Joliet West, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

St. Laurence has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Whitney Young on the 30th. As for Joliet West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mother McAuley on the 30th.
