While Whitewater has struggled on the road with five straight losses , that wasn't the case on Tuesday thanks to Casey Lyon. The Whippets took down the Waterloo Pirates 61-47 with plenty of help from Lyon, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 12 boards. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Boudreau, who posted seven points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Waterloo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aiden Arians, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Avery Peachey, who had eight points and ten boards.

Whitewater's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Waterloo, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Whitewater has already played their next game, a 73-63 victory against Jefferson on the 12th. As for Waterloo, they are taking a road trip to challenge Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
