Westminster Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Tempro, who picked up 174 receiving yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Barbar, who threw for 364 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.
When it comes to explaining why Bradenton Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaden Baker. Despite the final result, he gained 91 total yards and a touchdown. Another big playmaker for Bradenton Christian was Carson Fisher, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Bradenton Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Westminster Academy's QB won't forget Micah Campbell anytime soon given Campbell sacked him five times.
Westminster Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Bradenton Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Westminster Academy will head out on the road to face off against NSU University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. NSU University will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Bradenton Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
