It was a good run, but LaBrae unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crestview Rebels. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
LaBrae saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Brunstetter, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Brunstetter has hit this season. Owen Boone was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
LaBrae's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Crestview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaBrae will head out to take on Garfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the G-Men at the right time seeing as the G-Men are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Crestview, they are taking a road trip to square off against Beaver Local at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
