Mt. Pleasant Christian entered their tilt with Master's Hand Christian on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Master's Hand Christian Warriors by a score of 40-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Mt. Pleasant Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Brown, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Bainbridge, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Mt. Pleasant Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Master's Hand Christian lost, don't look at Jack Carey. Despite the final result, he put up eight points.

Mt. Pleasant Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Master's Hand Christian, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant Christian and Glen Iris Baptist will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Pleasant Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season. Master's Hand Christian will take on Brooklane Baptist in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brooklane Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Master's Hand Christian likes a good challenge.
