Basketball Game Preview: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. River Bluff Gators

The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes are taking a road trip to challenge the River Bluff Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dutch Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully River Bluff likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Dutch Fork took their match with ease, bagging an 82-36 victory over Lexington. Given the Silver Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Wildcats are ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Justus Bell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jake Bogan was another key player, going 6 of 7 en route to 12 points and six boards.

Dutch Fork was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, River Bluff waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 73-44. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.

Dutch Fork has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for River Bluff, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Dutch Fork didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against River Bluff in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. Will Dutch Fork repeat their success, or does River Bluff have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
