The Fremont Silverwolves will venture away from home to face off against the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Fremont barely beat Farmington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Silverwolves put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 17-9 win on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Adee Johnsen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Saige Steele, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenadee Dabb, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
Steele wasn't the only one making solid contact: Fremont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive matchups.
Davis never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Syracuse on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Titans. The Darts haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Jewel Korth was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Adelyn Turpin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Fremont's record now sits at 3-10. As for Davis, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fremont hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fremont might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Davis when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Silverwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
