Jefferson is 0-10 against Wilson since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jefferson Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Wilson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Jefferson is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Even though Jefferson has not done well against Adamson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jefferson managed a 42-36 victory over Adamson. The win was just what Jefferson needed coming off of a 57-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Wilson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They really took it to Adamson for the full four quarters, racking up a 99-28 victory on the road. Given Wilson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Adamson is ranked 1288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jefferson's record now sits at 2-13. Wilson's record is now 14-12.
Jefferson was dealt a bruising 76-35 defeat at the hands of Wilson in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wilson's Jackson Townsend, who scored 16 points. Now that Jefferson knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
