The Strafford Indians will head out on the road to take on the Cassville Wildcats on Tuesday. Hopefully Strafford is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cassville in Missouri (Strafford is ranked 154th, while Cassville is ranked 401st).
After a string of three wins, Strafford's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Fair Grove by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Strafford has suffered yet this season.
Cassville proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 36) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lighthouse Christian 63-61. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cassville.
Strafford's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cassville, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Strafford took their victory against Cassville in their previous meeting back in December of 2015 by a conclusive 64-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strafford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
