Osborne took the contest and then some with a 58-12 victory over Thunder Ridge on Friday. Followers of Osborne probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Osborne's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 42 points in the first half. Thunder Ridge countered with 12 points, leaving the score at 42-12 going into the half. Osborne put the matchup away in the third quarter with 16 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Senior Darnell Holloway, who rushed for 161 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Osborne's success. That makes it eight straight good games in a row from Holloway. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Steele Wolters, who racked up ten tackles.
The win (their 6th in a row) raised Osborne's record to 7-1. The defeat dropped Thunder Ridge's record to 5-3.
