There's no place like home for the Ross Little Giants, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Springfield on Friday. For Ross, this counts as revenge for the 66-61 loss Springfield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Springfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nate Pope, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Nate Green, who scored eight points.
Ross' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Springfield, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Ross will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Springfield and Open Door Christian will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at. Open Door Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Springfield likes a good challenge.
