ASU Prep has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, ASU Prep was beaten by the Storm 73-34. ASU Prep has struggled against the Storm recently, as their game on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, BASIS - Scottsdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 49-36 to Heritage Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nithish Prakash, who scored eight points along with seven steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Tropper, who scored ten points along with five steals.
ASU Prep's loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
ASU Prep lost to the Bulldogs at home by a decisive 48-29 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2018. Can ASU Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
